چکیده
Surface humic soils, where fine roots are mainly distributed, can be accidentally buried due to coverage by deposits such as volcanic ash. This soil may influence the vertical distribution of because organic matter strongly affects functions. However, root distributions in soils little understood. In order elucidate effects on distribution, we investigated biomass and characteristics a profile down 3.3 m with two formed tephra Tomakomai, Hokkaido, Japan. this profile, decreased depth, but increased that had higher total carbon (C) content ratio than nonhumic soils.
